Communiy Service Diary - "Slam Dunk the Junk"

Last week, Newark Community Solutions participants and staff joined the City of Newark and the New Jersey Clean Communities Council for Gateway Cleanup Day – "Slam Dunk the Junk”. The event, which is in its 10^th year, brought residents of all ages and a variety of community organizations together to remove trash from Newark streets and plant flowers, as an expression of their unity and commitment to making Newark neighborhoods greener, cleaner, and safer.
